Dr. Shaw completed a rigorous educational path to become a specialist in orthodontics. He first earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious Loma Linda University in 1988. Following dental school, he pursued his passion for orthodontics, completing a specialized residency program at Case Western Reserve University in 1987, where he was awarded his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and specialty certificate in orthodontics.
